GQ magazine UK loves bobble

Cairo-born, Canada-raised, New York-based designer Karim Rashid has won awards for his work with Umbra and designed for Veuve Clicquot.

Now he’s turned his considerable talents to providing an elegant solution to the mountains of discarded water bottles that can occur when you’re trying to take on your two litres a day. The bobble is a reusable water bottle made from recycled plastic and fitted with a carbon filter.

This clever device draws contaminants out of the water, leaving you with a crisper taste that is far more economical to achieve than 500ml of something extracted near a volcano or tapped from a glacier. Worth investing in: particularly since there won’t be any glaciers left soon enough.
